Pressure Transmitter Precautions

First of all, let's understand the structure and function of the conventional pressure transmitter. Pressure transmitter is mainly composed of pressure sensor, measuring conversion circuit and the process of connecting components of three parts. Its function is to change the physical pressure parameters such as gas and liquid that the pressure sensor senses into standard electrical signals for the purpose of displaying, measuring and controlling the display alarms, DCS systems, recorders and PLC systems. In these work, may have a lot of different problems, this time need to pay attention to the pressure transmitter in the work of maintenance and protection.

Precautions

Let us analyze the specific pressure transmitter in use of the precautions.

1, first check the pressure transmitter around the signal interference, if any, try to rule out, or as far as possible so that the sensor shield and metal shell connected to enhance anti-interference ability.

2, to regularly clean the mounting holes to ensure the installation hole cleaning to prevent the transmitter and corrosive or overheating of medium contact.

3, Wiring, the cable through the waterproof connector (accessory) or winding pipe and tighten the sealing nut to prevent rain and other leakage through the cable into the transmitter housing.

4, measuring the gas pressure, the pressure port should be opened at the top of the process pipeline, and the transmitter should also be installed in the upper part of the process pipeline, so that the accumulation of liquid easily injected into the process pipeline.

5, the measurement of liquid pressure, the pressure port should be opened in the side of the process piping to avoid sedimentation slag.

6, the pressure transmitter can not use the voltage higher than 36V, easily lead to damage.

7, frozen in winter, installed in the outdoor transmitter must take antifreeze measures to prevent the pressure of the mouth of the liquid volume expansion due to icing, leading to the sensor damage.

8, measuring steam or other high temperature medium, the need to receive a buffer tube (coil) and other condensers, the transmitter should not exceed the operating temperature exceeds the limit. And buffer tube need to inject the right amount of water, to prevent overheated steam and the transmitter contact. And the buffer tube can not leak.

9. Measurement of liquid pressure, the transmitter should be installed at the location to avoid the impact of liquid (water hammer phenomenon), so as to avoid over-voltage sensor damage.

10, pressure pipe should be installed in the place where the temperature fluctuation is small.

11, to prevent the deposition of sediment in the catheter.

12, the pressure transmitter measuring medium can not be frozen icing, once frozen, will easily damage the diaphragm, because the diaphragm is generally very thin.
